“Guard well your spare moments. They are like uncut diamonds. Discard them and their value will never be known. Improve them and they will become the brightest gems in a useful life.” (Ralph Waldo Emerson)
Something beautiful happened when I decided to cut back on photography… weekends became weekends again. Suddenly, I had time to work out in the morning, eat brunch with the besties, stroll around downtown Carrollton with hubby, do a fun shoot with Andrea for an upcoming blog collaboration, and spend the evening catching up with family.
Before starting Whole30, I was at my highest weight and worst health. Back-to-back shoots on the weekend exhausted me to the point where all I could manage for a meal was driving through Whataburger on my way home. It was a chore to get dressed in the morning and, once clothed, I just wanted to hide behind the camera.
Since completing Whole30, and with the help of the amazing trainers at The Move Project and fabulous Kaia Fit community, I finally have the energy and confidence to enjoy taking outfit pictures for the blog again.
I’ve been optimistically waiting to buy new clothes in the hope that I will continue to lose weight, so my wardrobe lately has consisted of casual athletic apparel. Dressing comfortably seems to help remind me to relax. It might not make for the most glamorous outfit of the day, but with more time and energy to devote to my blog, I hope this post is just the beginning of exciting things to come!

I love seeing this transformation and growth in you! I’m also glad that I get to be on this journey with you in so many different ways. Words cannot describe how proud of who you are, what you are becoming, and the fact that I get to call you one of my best friends.
