This outfit was an impulse purchase during Forever 21’s crazy 50% off flash sale a few weeks ago. I’ve been steering clear of the crop top trend, because let’s face it– my stomach hasn’t been flat in over two years, and no one needs to see my pudge. But this mixed print skirt and shirt set seemed to show only a hint of skin– almost as if it were a one-piece dress with a small cutout.
I’ve been trying to gather the courage to wear it out in public and decided that my blogger friends would be the most forgiving test subjects. Tonight we had a Southwest Blogger Society workshop, presented by lifestyle blogger Helene in Between. While waiting for the workshop to begin, my fellow Dallas fashion bloggers, Christian and Jordan, helped me take outfit photos and advantage of the awesome street art of Deep Ellum.
