Fourth of July in Door County

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July holiday! I’ve been enjoying time with my family in Door County, Wisconsin. These festive outfit photos were actually taken yesterday. We enjoyed a boat ride through Green Bay, where we watched Egg Harbor’s fireworks display last night.

I picked up this striped boatneck top from J.Crew when it was on sale a couple months ago, specifically for the fourth. I thought it would come in handy for various patriotic-themed days, but it’s so comfortable and versatile that I’ve actually been wearing it a lot more often than originally anticipated! I love the soft cotton material, and surprisingly flattering striped pattern. I’ve affectionately nicknamed it my “Where’s Waldo” shirt…

This navy scarf with a starry pattern was the perfect accessory for 4th of July. It’s also great for travel! I’ve worn it several days, styled differently each time. In the below pictures, I’ve tied it around my straw bag for a little “oomph” and this evening, my mom borrowed it to wear around her neck.

I completed my “American Girl” outfit with these Baublebar earrings, which I think look sort of like fireworks. They come in multiple colors, but I love that white goes with anything.

Stay tuned for more details on my Door County trip and our fun itinerary on the blog later this week! Happy 4th of July!
