After posting all the cute 4th of July outfits I photographed this week, I was inspired to put together my own patriotic ensemble this afternoon. My minimalist wardrobe for the summer is all about neutral colors and comfort. Since I spend so much time outside for shoots, I’ve been stocking up on breathable pieces in colors that won’t cast a reflection on my bloggers when I’m photographing them.
This crepe sleeveless blouse from Forever 21 fits all my criteria! And it was the perfect base for my Independence Day outfit– I styled it with blue pants from Old Navy, a blue necklace, white sunglasses, red lipstick, and white earrings that my husband made. Holden and his friend (Valery’s hubby) have started a 3D printing business called Poly Gen Studios— be sure to bookmark their Etsy shop as they will be adding new pieces soon!

Thanks, Valery! It is both– I’ll have to show it to you tomorrow. I forgot to have Holden photograph the back of it– the best part!
