Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.

I am the post adoption person at Lifelink. I will email Eastern today to request that they try to arrange for a meeting with your foster mother and a possible hospital visit. I will need to know where in Seoul you will be staying, an address as well as a phone number and the exact days you would be available for these meetings. What date will you be departing from the US? I’ll be here until 5 today, so hope to hear from you before then.
I will be staying at the Grand Hilton Seoul.
Seoul, South Korea 120-710
I will be leaving on July 26th (Arriving on the 27th), but I am going to be participating in a conference during the week. I am staying an extra day and a half (Would be free Saturday August 2nd and Sunday August 3rd in the morning-early afternoon)
I know that it is too last minute in regards to this trip– but out of curiosity, could you tell me a little bit about the birth family search process?
Thanks so much for your help,
Thanks for being so prompt. Birth mother searches involve our requesting Eastern do one on behalf of the adoptee. They charge a small fee for the process–not very much. Most of the times these searches take a while unless there has been some recent contact from a member of the birth family. The searches are often unsuccessful, but we have had a few adoptees who found and met with their birth families. If you are interested in our requesting a search, let me know and I’ll add it to the email I’m sending to Eastern.
Thanks for the information. Could you go ahead and send the request with the e-mail?
Sure. I’ll do that and find out what they are currently charging.
