There are very few things that get me out of bed earlier than 6am on any given day, let alone dressed up with a full face of makeup and styled hair. Breakfast with the president of Dallas’ most exciting new retail space just happens to be one of them.
Belk celebrated its official Grand Opening this morning at Galleria Dallas, and I was invited to attend a breakfast event where President and COO John R. Belk spoke about the company’s exciting grand opening and admirable community initiatives.
As part of their celebration, Belk donated $125,000 to five local Dallas charitable organizations. Following the breakfast, representatives from each respective organization were presented with a check for $25,000 and the ribbon was cut. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders also performed.
Having the opportunity to hear firsthand about Belk’s philosophy of community involvement, volunteerism and giving was truly inspirational. It makes me even more excited to have the flagship store so close to my home. (As if the phenomenal selection of designers and “Modern. Southern. Style” weren’t enough draw) I look forward to many, many years of shopping here.
