Spring is just around the corner, and summer won’t be far behind. I’ve slowly started packing my black winter clothes away, making room for crisp whites and light neutrals. My minimalist Spring/Summer capsule wardrobe is coming together, but I needed something to up the WOW factor…
Enter Cult Gaia’s Ark Bag, which literally has a cult following these days.
The showstopping bamboo purse was modeled after a Japanese picnic basket, and has probably been flooding your instagram feed as of late. It’s been sold out nearly everywhere, but Cult Gaia recently restocked their website (and added some additional variations including black, dark stain, mother of pearl, and malachite.
The bag is priced at $128 for the small version and $138 for the large. Though the price may seem a little steep, the ark bag is incredibly versatile. I’ve already styled three different outfits with it, which I can’t wait to share on the blog this month.
One thing I’ve struggled with in developing my minimalist fashion style is feeling bored or plain. Without bright colors or patterns, it’s easy to feel like you’re blending in or going unnoticed. Cult Gaia’s must-have handbag stops people in their tracks.
“Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication.”
(Leonardo da Vinci)
It’s a slippery slope trying to cut back on spending while being tempted with the newest shiny objects on social media. With the Gaia’s Ark bag, though, I felt that it was helping me fulfill my minimalist ambitions. As my husband asked as we were shooting pictures, “But what can you put in that? It’s see-through!”
It’s true… the beauty of the bag is in it’s emptiness. The design inspires me to pare down my purse to the essentials only and not be weighed down by unnecessary clutter. I plan to bring it with me for all my travels this year.
The handbag of the season is available in limited qualities. If I were a betting woman, I’d put money down on it being sold out within the next few weeks. Click here to shop the Gaia’s Ark bag from CULT GAIA while it’s back in stock!
