DBC Tea Party Hosted by The Vintage House

DBC Tea Party Hosted by The Vintage House | Stephanie Drenka

There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea. (Henry James, “The Portrait of a Lady”)

Dressed in our Sunday best, I joined some of my favorite Dallas fashion and lifestyle bloggers at The Vintage House in Carrollton on June 28th for an afternoon tea party with the Dallas Blogger Collective.

The Vintage House has become one of my favorite places in Dallas Fort Worth. It’s my go-to spot to find gifts for my loved ones (especially since they carry my mom’s favorite… Kendra Scott!) Walking into the historic pink house immediately feels like home now thanks to owner Nan and her amazing staff. I feel so blessed that Sevi introduced us. Nan and The Vintage House team have been so supportive of all our blogging endeavors from letting us use the store as a photoshoot location to welcoming local bloggers during the Carrollton Chocolate Walk.

When The Vintage House offered to host an event for the Dallas Blogger Collective, and suggested a Sunday afternoon tea party, I think my heart skipped a beat! Every single lovely detail of the tea party was absolutely perfect. The Vintage House went above and beyond to spoil our bloggers and make everyone feel welcomed.

The talented Allikdesign made the prettiest signage for the event. (Alli also spearheaded planning the entire tea party– she is amazing!)
We were treated to delicious hors d’oeuvres and delicious Twisted Root Watermelon Sweet Tea. The icing on the cake, was literally the cake… C Star Cakes made the most beautiful cake with our DBC logo emblazened on the top! It was almost too pretty to eat.
The Vintage House raffled off some amazing door prizes, including gorgeous pieces donated by Vera Bradley!
I’m so jealous of the genuine leather crossbody bag that Ashley won! Sidenote: how adorable is this pink step and repeat!?
Everyone went home a winner, though, because The Vintage House graciously made us all FABULOUS swag bags!! Prizes and goodies aside, the event was special to me because it was the most-attended event we’ve had since I co-founded Dallas Blogger Collective with my friend Jasmine, who unfortunately was out of town this weekend. I’m so proud of our growing community of Dallas bloggers. It’s been an inspiration to meet so many fascinating women, many of whom I now consider cherished friends.
Thank you to The Vintage House for hosting such an incredible tea party. It was an event that I will never forget, and has set the bar outstandingly high for the Dallas Blogger Collective. Thanks to the sweet bloggers who came out to the event– I hope you had as much fun as I did. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces, and spend time getting to know new ones! I’d love to hear what you thought, and any events/ideas you’d like us to pursue for the future!
