Nothing says TGIF like free food, drinks, and new blogger friends!! Last night I attended a DFW Blogger Meetup organized by Jessica of Jessica Who? at Midnight Rodeo Dallas. Since we moved to our house, I’ve been anxious to check out new local bars and restaurants. Midnight Rodeo is a 12,000 square foot honkey tonk located in North Dallas. It has lots of great party space, dance floor ready for two-stepping, and fun events and specials.
Midnight Rodeo offers free dance lessons every Wednesday and Thursday night, and happy hour on Fridays. As part of our happy hour package, we received free cover, a buffet of food, and three drink tickets. Free Tacos and Sweet Tea Vodka… can’t beat that!
I’ve been to a few blogger events and meetups in the past and am always a little nervous going to them by myself. Being somewhat new to the community, and after having taken basically a year-long hiatus to plan my wedding, I’m never quite sure whether or not I will fit in with the other bloggers.
Last night quelled all of my fears. I met such amazing, friendly, and supportive bloggers– I couldn’t have been more comfortable and welcomed. After hours of learning about everyone’s lives and blogs, I went home so excited for the next time I get to see them. Walked into the house where my husband and his friend were playing video games and immediately started gushing about all the new friends I made and how refreshing it was to find a group of girls with whom I immediately clicked.
Major thanks to Jessica and Midnight Rodeo for hosting us, and my new bloggy friends for making me laugh, smile, and leave freshly inspired!
