Fall Capsule Wardrobe 2018

Even though the weather in Dallas is still 90+ degrees, I’ve got my eyes set towards cooler days. Fall and Winter are the best. This former Chicago girl still loves dressing in layers and embracing all things cozy. Perhaps in an effort to somehow speed the season’s changing along, I decided to shop my closet today and pull together a fall capsule wardrobe for 2018. A few pieces from last year’s capsule made it into this one, but I picked up some great new items during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Everything will probably remain the same for my Winter capsule wardrobe, with some additional outerwear depending on the weather.

I’m going back to the basics with this 40-piece minimalist capsule, with very few prints and mostly neutral colors. Nothing too fancy or formal, because this season is all about the accessories. After we sold our house, I went on a bit of a #TreatYoSelf spree and splurged on some classic investment pieces. (This dual income, no kids lifestyle is starting to grow on me).
