Golden Hour in Victoria, British Columbia

The final stop of our Celebrity Solstice itinerary was in the picturesque capital of British Columbia- Victoria. This was the first time we’d ever docked at a port in the evening. Although the late schedule didn’t allow for enough time to see all the sights on our wishlist (such as the famed Butchart Gardens), we did get to witness the inner harbour bathed in a glow of golden hour light. And have a spot of tea and dessert at The Empress Hotel while enjoying the view!

One of the perks of cruising is getting a taste of several different destinations that you may not have otherwise visited. Victoria is a place that was never on my radar or bucket list. After spending an evening walking around the center of the charming city, I was left wanting more. I’d love to dedicate a long weekend exploring greater Victoria. But, we made the most of our short window of opportunity, and returned to the ship in time for a most spectacular sunset.
