With any great sale, like the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, it’s very easy to get carried away by the deals and let logic fly out the window. Speaking from experience– I’ve already made a trip to Nordstrom to return items I ordered impulsively at 2am Thursday morning. Now that the dust of Early Access craziness has settled and after spending the weekend sorting through a pile of merchandise, I’ve found my favorite picks that will stand the test of time.
Speaking of time… this kate spade park row bracelet watch is $75 off during the Anniversary Sale. It features a beautiful mother of pearl dial and stainless steel with goldtone plate. Picking out the perfect watch has always been a challenge for me, because I can’t decide between silver or gold. This one has the best of both worlds!
My goal when choosing more expensive items from the NSale is to find versatile ones that will get lots of wears, and also brands known for their quality. I strongly believe that you can never go wrong investing in a kate spade accessory!
For these reasons, I tend to scroll past the trendier (albeit less expensive) products and focus on investment pieces. Don’t be discouraged if the cool items you’ve seen on every blogger’s instagram account are already sold out (*cough Topshop colorblock cardigan cough*). Not only does Nordstrom tend to restock items throughout the sale (check again when Public Access starts next week), but those types of products aren’t where the real value is.
These Tory Burch Riding Boots and Hunter Rain Boots were two of my Anniversary Sale splurges, because they’ll last for years and never go out of style. They also rarely go on sale during any other time of the year, so I make it a point to save up before the NSale in preparation. In fact, this time around I didn’t purchase any handbags or purses because I got two great Rebecca Minkoff bags in the previous sale that I still wear today!
