Skincentives is a new comprehensive cosmetic beauty membership available only at Skintastic Cosmetic Surgery and Laser Skin Care Center under the medical direction of Jeffrey Adelglass, M.D., F.A.C.S. with locations in Dallas and Plano.
There are three levels of the Skincentives plan offered:
Skincentives Basic: includes laser hair removal (face, including lip or chin, front and back of neck or underarms), microdermabrasion, select facials, select chemical peels, Vitamin B12 shot (3/mo), MIC (Slimtastic Fat Blaster Shot, 3/mo) and Spray Tan (2/mo).
Skincentives Deluxe: includes everything in the Skintastic Basic plan plus additional laser hair removal areas (bikini line, partial thighs, face), Apollo skin tightening on face, and medically supervised diet programs (BMI+MIC) Spray Tan (1/week) Oxygeneo Facial, DermaPlane, and Silk Peel.
Skincentives Premium: includes everything in the Skintastic Basic and Deluxe plans plus additional laser hair removal areas (back, lower legs, chest, full bikini), Photo Facial, Apollo skin tightening on face + neck, or arms, Spectra Facial, Imogen, DOT C02 Fractional/Laser rejuvenation (eyes).
For purposes of review, I was given a complimentary 90-day Skincentives Basic membership. The first treatment I wanted to try was the Slimtastic Fat Blaster Shot (MIC enhanced B12 injection). I made an appointment at the Plano location where Lee, my Skintastic nutritionist, met with me to discuss the injections and offered a wealth of knowledge regarding supplements, diet, and overall nutrition. She informed me that the MIC injections provide a boost to your energy and metabolism and help give you healthy skin and hair. The cost of one injection is $25, but if you schedule two per week (as recommended), the cost is $20 per injection.
Lee administered the injection into my hip. There was a slight burning sensation, but it was over almost instantly. I felt much more alert and productive over the next few days and felt like my sleep was more restful. I definitely prefer the injection to remembering to take multiple supplements every day and having to guess which ones work well together, etc…

I think it lasts about a week, because that’s when the nutritionist recommended I make my next appointment.
