Margarita-aficionados everywhere may be counting down until Cinco de Mayo next week, but I’ve got my sights on another culturally significant holiday. Star Wars Day– May the 4th be with you— is next Monday!!
It’s no secret that my husband and I are incredibly geeky, and in fact it’s one of the things that brought us closer together. One of the first gifts I got him when we were dating was Star Wars: The Complete Saga on Blu-ray, which we watched in its entirety last year for Star Wars Day.
Star Wars (second only to Jurassic Park) is one of Holden’s favorite film franchises. It only made sense to incorporate it into the most important day of our lives (the wedding). Our entrance song was the theme from Star Wars.

Suffice it to say, Star Wars Day is an official holiday in our household. I’ve been scouring the internet for the appropriately geeky outfit to wear. This was my Star Wars #ootd last year:
I’m still mulling over my options. Every time I think I’ve picked out what I want, I hear Yoda’s voice in my head saying, “…No. There is another.” But I thought I’d share some of the awesomely nerdtastic Star Wars gear I came across during my search!!
