We had our first pool party of the season last weekend, hosting family for Mother’s Day. As the weather continues to heat up, I’m excited to feature two companies who have become my go-to brands for summer! DIFF Eyewear and Hari Mari both offer stylish, high-quality accessories AND give back to charitable causes.
I’ve highlighted DIFF Eyewear on the blog before, and love that they partner with the non-profit organization Eyes on Africa to donate a pair of eyeglasses in communities without access to vision care for every pair of sunglasses sold. These DIME II sunnies are my favorite combination with a tortoise shell frame and gold polarized lenses. I’m patiently waiting for this combo to come back in stock for the BELLA style. All of DIFF’s sunglasses feature scratch-resistant lenses and handmade acetate frames, which is great for accident-prone people like me.
I was so thrilled when Hari Mari reached out to me via email to try their fashionable flip flops. I LOVE partnering with local Dallas companies, especially when they have a heart for kids and charitable giving. Hari Mari donates 1% of sales on every flip flop purchase to support kids battling cancer– helping to pay for medicine, treatment & hospital costs.
These full-grain leather Lakes sandals feature their patent pending Memory Foam Toe Post™ and memory foam-filled straps for extra comfort.
Those following me on Instagram may have seen a sneak peek of this post yesterday, along with a message that has been weighing on my heart for awhile now. In the world of style blogging, it’s easy to fall into a routine and resort to tried and true formulas for “OOTD” posts. Buy new products, shoot them with a photographer, use affiliate links, and repeat.
I’m in the process of developing a mission statement, vision, and theory of change for myself so that I can find a healthy balance between what I enjoy and what I value. I believe that it’s possible to have a blog that is both fashionable and philanthropic… but, more on that later. In the meantime, thank you to DIFF Eyewear and Hari Mari for inspiring me to be more intentional with my purchases and all of the work you are doing to change the world for the better– one pair of sunglasses or sandals at a time!
