Last night, we celebrated my sister-in-law’s birthday at my parent’s house. As we were saying our goodbyes, my dad (who had recently been in Las Vegas for a travel convention) stopped me. The conversation went a little something like this:
Dad: Have you heard of a “selfie?”
Me: Yes… (wondering where this conversation could possibly be going)
Dad: So would you want a “selfie stick”? We got them at the convention.
Mom: We’re keeping one of them to use ourselves!
Me: Ummm. YES!!
And so, I went home with a selfie stick and remote shutter control for my iPhone. Decided to bring my new toy to happy hour tonight with some fellow bloggers, because I knew out of anyone, they could appreciate a good selfie. To top it off, I wore a “Celfie” shirt from H&M that I had unwittingly saved for just such an occasion.
Granted, we did get several quizzical, judge-y looks from fellow restaurant-goers at The Flying Saucer. I think you’ll agree with me that it was more than worth it…
