#SWBS: Baubles & Brunch

#SWBS: Baubles & Brunch | Stephanie Drenka

I recently joined The Southwest Blogger Society because I love blogger communities and networking. Was super excited to receive an invitation to my first Dallas meetup. Blogger events are twofold for me– I’m happy to be included, but always really anxious going to places where I don’t know anyone. As a textbook INFJ, I much prefer instagram and Facebook following my favorite bloggers, because the idea of meeting them in person makes my glasses fog up. Over the past few months, I’ve been making a determined effort to reach beyond my comfort zone and embrace every new opportunity. Each time I leave a blogger event, like Midnight Rodeo or today’s, I am filled with so much inspiration and warm-fuzzies from meeting amazing, kind-hearted bloggers.

The “Baubles & Brunch” Event was held at Del Frisco’s Grille in Uptown Dallas. Amanda Embry, of the blog Manhattan to Mulholland, brought her collection of jawdropping Stella & Dot jewelry pieces and accessories for us to ogle.

My favorite of the collection is this bright yellow perforated clutch, with a built-in mirror (and affirmation) inside!

For brunch, I enjoyed a few mimosas and delicious bowl of Del Frisco’s Roasted Corn Bisque soup, although, in retrospect, a cup would have been plenty for me!

My favorite part of the event was learning more about each of the multifaceted and talented bloggers. I could go on for days about how impressed I was with their dedication and stories, but I’ll leave links instead for you to discover that all for yourself!

From Left to Right: Jasmine (Heel & Mimosas), Tamra (Southern Maze), Jennifer (My Inner Space), Heather (Style by Fluent), Amanda (Manhattan to Mulholland), Me (Geek Glam)

Of course, you can follow all our instagram photos from the event with the hashtag #theswbs!

As if I didn’t already have the best morning ever, before I left, I was awarded this gorgeous Stella & Dot Fringe Necklace for my baubles! I’m already looking forward to our next Southwest Blogger Society event.
