I’m just going to come out and say, it– thank goodness for boyfriend fashion! After retiring all of the too-tight, muffin-top inducing skinny jeans from my closet in favor of comfy boyfriend jeans like my favorite white pair from Current/Elliott, it’s been hard to imagine squeezing into a pair of short shorts for the summertime.
Hence, my official most-loved item of the summer: The Boyfriend Short. Well-worn-in and a little baggy, these shorts are cute without revealing too much and let you move easily in the hot, humid weather. Last week, I found myself wearing a pair almost every day. I adore the look and fit so much, that I own boyfriend shorts in different brands, lengths, and washes. It’s easy to style these shorts. Go casual with a comfy tee and sneakers, dress them up with a nice blouse and statement necklace, or for a really on-trend look, pair them with a crop top.
