“This time, baby, I’ll be bulletproof” – La Roux
Since January Whole30, I’ve added a new ritual to my morning routine- drinking bulletproof coffee. There’s a lot of science behind this fat-filled drink, which I am not educated enough to discuss here, but I will say it has helped me both lose weight and feel more energized for the day. Bulletproof coffee is basically three ingredients blended together: coffee, MCT Oil, and Ghee/Grass fed butter. I add a few other things just for taste and additional nutrients.
Bulletproof Coffee Recipe
– 1 Cup of Coffee
– 1 tbs MCT Oil
– 2 tbs Ghee or Grass-fed Butter
– Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides (optional)
– 1 tsp Cacao Powder (optional)
– NutPods (optional)
I use Chameleon Cold Brew Coffee (Vanilla flavored), so it needs to be microwaved before blending with the MCT Oil and Ghee. The Ninja blender has a great single serving size cup you can use, so you don’t have to clean out the whole pitcher every time.
