Please excuse my lack of posts this weekend. It’s been a busy one, to say the least! Yesterday, we hosted an early Father’s Day celebration with my parents, brother, and sister-in-law. We grilled fajitas, and I got to use my beautiful molcajete wedding gift to make fresh guacamole. As soon as we finished eating and opening gifts, I headed to church so I could cantor for our Pentecostal mass.
Saturday afternoon was my other sister-in-law’s bridal shower. My husband’s sister was my maid of honor, and I’m hers. It seems like only yesterday that she was hosting my Jane Austen bridal shower! Their Pirates & Princesses-themed wedding will be in September. I went with them to Port Aransas a few weekends ago to shoot their engagement photos.
The theme of the bridal shower was Paris, with hot pink and black as the color scheme. Guests were asked to wear Little Black Dresses for attire. I wore my favorite black shift dress from ASOS. My fellow bridesmaid and I had fun planning the pink, Parisian details! I’ve never been to Paris *insert sadface* but luckily, Pinterest had lots of inspiration from which to draw ideas.
