Park Hyatt Dubai – 5 Star Oasis

It’s been a month since we returned from our Dubai trip, and I still find myself under the city’s magical spell. This is my last recap from the vacation, and I saved it for the end because, in some ways, it was my favorite part– our hotel, the Park Hyatt Dubai.

Park Hyatt Dubai is 5 star resort overlooking Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club. Of all the properties we toured during our visit, I’m so glad that this was the one where my parents decided to stay. The picturesque white and blue exterior of the hotel was reminiscent of Santorini, while the interior decor was a perfect mix of modern minimalism and elegant Arabian accents. It may be the first hotel I’ve stayed in that was even more enchanting at night. The lighting, especially around the 25 meter swimming pool, with in-set palm trees, brought the property to life.

Even though I loved all the outside excursions we did, some of my most-cherished moments were enjoying the lavish buffet breakfast and freshly-baked pastries in Café Arabesque each morning, followed by a morning stroll through the grounds to take pictures, and coming back to our room each evening to admire the views of Dubai Creek and the Burj Khalifa from our fifth floor balcony.

Service at the Park Hyatt Dubai, like any Hyatt hotel, is unparalleled (and I’m not just saying that because I used to work for Hyatt). It seems like another lifetime that I was in the hospitality industry, but I always remembered being instructed to find ways to “delight” our guests. During our stay, we were not only surprised with a bottle of champagne to toast the beginning of our trip, but a plate of fresh fruit that was replaced daily. It was probably due to jet lag that I didn’t realize this until the 3rd day in when Holden informed me that there was new fruit added to the plate each day.

Park Hyatt Dubai is truly an oasis, and simply the best hotel I’ve ever been at – wishing on every star that we have a chance to stay there again someday, but grateful to have so many memories to cherish until that day comes.
