Summer Fashion Preview at Grapevine Mills
Grapevine Mills, my favorite Simon outlet mall, hosted a “Summer Sizzle Fashion Preview” for local bloggers last Thursday. Every event I’ve attended at Grapevine Mills has been such a fun experience; this was no exception!
Upon arrival, we were treated to a delicious meal catered by nearby Mexican restaurant, Cozymel’s. Everything was wonderful, but the brownies were especially memorable. One of my fellow bloggers inquired about the unique taste, and we learned that the recipe included Mexican chili pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla– YUMMY.
Got to catch up with my fellow local bloggers including Denise, Mariko, Dionne, Leah, and Jaleesa.
My favorite part of the event was being able to bring one of my readers, via giveaway, and the winner happened to be another blogger named Sevi. Sevi blogs at Ware is the Vodka? and is just an all-around amazing person. We met at the Midnight Rodeo blogger event a few months ago, and I was so happy to spend more time with her. She’s moving less than 5 minutes away from me– I can’t wait to be neighbors!
Sevi has an absolutely infectious happy disposition– you can’t help but smile when you are around her, no matter what kind of mood you might have been in previously. I’ve realized, in my “old” age, that I’ve wasted too much time around negative people who literally drain the positivity out of me. This summer has been a revolutionary one for me. I’m trying to surround myself with the friends and family who lift me up instead of bringing me down, and I feel blessed to have so many who fit in that first category. I had the best time shopping with Sevi and learning more about my fabulous new friend. Looking forward to many, many more fun hangouts with her!
After we finished eating/socializing, our hosts brought us into Neiman Marcus Last Call for a fashion show featuring the latest summer trends.
