We are in La Jolla this weekend for my dear friend Courtney’s wedding. With a free morning before the festivities start, I wanted to stop by La Jolla Cove for sea lion/seal spotting. I have a strong affinity for sea lions because their appearance and mannerisms remind me so much of dachshunds (especially my little Daisy).
We got to see some from afar on our recent Alaska trip, and I always look for them in San Francisco when I visit, but I’ve never had a chance to see them as close as we did today. I could have spent hours watching them- listening to their barking. There were even a couple of adorable pups that were incredibly entertaining.
Between the swimming, sunbathing, and sleeping… I decided maybe I’d like to be a La Jolla sea lion in my next life.
