Last night, we celebrated our niece’s 9th birthday at the new Round 1 Bowling & Amusement entertainment complex. Some of my fondest memories in high school were at the Grapevine Mills outlet mall. I was surprised to hear that Polar Ice House, where I had watched so many of my brother’s hockey games, had been replaced by a bowling alley. Truth be told, I was skeptical… I had loved the ice skating rink, and wasn’t sure if this new attraction could live up to its predecessor. It did!
Round 1 includes bowling alleys, a private karaoke lounge, billiards, ping pong, arcade games, darts, food and drinks. We enjoyed a couple rounds of bowling, pizza/wings for dinner, and an hour of unlimited games. I felt like I was 9 years old again, too, and it was wonderful!
OOTD // For optimal range of motion, I wore this loose-fitting Lush V-Neck Crepe Blouse from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. The tunic top is normally $42, but currently on sale for only $27.90. It’s so comfortable and lightweight that it’s wearable even in the summer. In addition to the black version, I bought it in ivory, too, which is now sold out. It’s a classic and versatile item– perfect for work or play. I think I may pick up a few more colors before the #NSale ends.

I paired the blouse with these Free People high-waisted shorts with raw-edge hems that are on sale for 40% off right now at Nordstrom and available in five different colors.

All-in-all, it was such a fun way to spend the evening. Four hours flew by, and there was still so much we didn’t try yet (like the private karaoke rooms). It’s a great spot for families with kids, or stay after hours and relax with a cold beer, glass of wine, or some sake. Have you checked out the new Grapevine location? What did you think of the newest Grapevine Mills attraction?
