On a recent trip to Abiquiu, New Mexico, I decided to leave my heavy DSLR at home and get back to the basics. I’ve loved Fuji’s X series digital cameras since their first X100 through the most recent X100V.

I’ve always chosen to shoot in RAW and use Adobe Lightroom presets to get the look I wanted, but I’ve never been 100% satisfied with the time, energy, and inconsistent results of editing. So this time, I played around with some Fuji Film Simulation Recipes and Moment’s 20% Cinebloom Filter to create straight out of the camera jpgs that I’m so happy with.

Here are some of my favorite shots, followed by the custom shooting settings I used to create this style.

Classic Chrome
Dynamic Range: DR400
Highlight: -1
Shadow: -2
Color: +2
Noise Reduction: -4
Sharpening: -2
Clarity: 0

Color Chrome Effect: Strong
Color Chrome Effect Blue: Weak
White Balance: Auto, +3 Red & -5 Blue
