A Trip to Farmers Branch Market

Holden and I knew very little about Farmers Branch when we bought our house here four years ago. I’ve loved exploring our small town and finding hidden gems like my favorite park. I found out through Facebook that there was a weekly Farmers Market less than two miles away from our house, and I’ve been wanting to go. I am so glad that we finally had the chance to visit the market today, and think it will be a new weekend ritual.

This morning, we woke up early to beat the heat and crowds. Our first stop was Round Rock Honey’s booth for a huge bottle of wildflower honey. Then we stocked up on delicious jellies from Designs by Diana (including my new favorite, Zesty Strawberry Jalapeño). The Egg Stand was parked at the market, so Holden and I ordered breakfast from them and enjoyed listening to live music while we ate. The whole experience was very Gilmore Girl-esque, and I’m now obsessed.

Visit the Farmers Branch Market Saturdays Weekly from 9:00am – 1:00pm.

UPDATE: This year the market has changed to evening hours – 5:00-8:00 pm. It is still in the same location and has many of the same vendors and amenities and more. Children’s activities too.
