I bought a new ukulele this week.
She arrived today, in pristine (albeit, out-of-tune) condition. I upgraded from my beloved “Surf Green” Fender Venice Soprano with which I first learned to play. One of many new pandemic hobbies picked up over the past year.
I chose this particular model, because it came with a built-in preamp system. I’m performing at a concert for a local non-profit tomorrow, and I wanted the music to be heard.
Singing with this instrument is my sanctuary.
A reminder that I have a voice. I can create sounds that resonate. Reverberate.
Many other things happened, too.
But, I bought a new ukulele this week.
