We watched the movie “Frida” last night, inspired by our trip to Mexico City and visit to La Casa Azul. It was such a privilege to visit the beautifully preserved home of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, getting a glimpse of the incredible creative universe they built for themselves. We booked a tour through Viator that included transportation to Xochimilco with an hour-long boat ride and Frida Kahlo’s house. We paid an additional fee for admission to the museum. I also happily paid 30 pesos for the ability to take photographs inside the house. It’s impossible to walk through the property and not leave completely inspired.

I was waiting eagerly to see the house. It is just as I thought. I watched the movie years ago and had a long vivid dream of me living there as an artist. No Diego to bother me though (;

Haha! I could totally see you living there– throwing pottery in the courtyard on a beautiful day.
