Girls in White Dresses
Do white dresses seem intimidating to anyone else? Maybe it’s just my own clumsiness and the inevitable spill of pasta sauce or ketchup when I’m wearing one, or the inherent “bridal” connotation of the color. Either way, wearing a crisp white dress to take on the world sometimes feels almost like a small act of courage. My “Little White Dress” obsession started last summer in Dubai, and quickly spiraled out of control…
The ruffled dress I’m wearing in this post is perhaps my favorite of them all, because it makes me feel simultaneously powerful, summery, and like a cupcake! What more could one ask for in a garment?
The new straw tote bag that I wrote about previously was the perfect accent piece for this outfit. These comfy tan heels from Vince Camuto help elongate legs (which could appear otherwise stump-y under this fluffy dress). To top off the outfit, and add the final “POW” is my limited edition Wonder Woman cuff from Alex & Ani.

I love the tiered ruffle look and I wouldn’t mind looking like a cupcake, either! I do a lot of my shopping online, so my biggest issue with white dresses is not knowing if they’re see-through or not.
